Longer, evidence-led papers on the technology questions Nigerian institutions actually face — costed, sourced from live engagements and reviewed internally before we release them.
What These Papers Are For
A whitepaper is what we write when an article is not enough. Typically it begins with a question a client asked that we could not answer confidently from memory — what does an edge data centre in Kano really cost to run for five years, or how far is a typical state ministry from meeting its obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act. We then go and find out properly, using our own delivery data, published Nigerian sources and, where necessary, measurement on site.
Each paper is written by a named member of our senior team, reviewed by at least two colleagues outside the authoring practice, and checked by our Company Secretary before release where it touches on regulation. Cost figures are given in Naira, with the assumption set stated openly so that a reader can substitute their own numbers. Where we draw on client engagements the organisation is anonymised and the figures are presented as illustrative of typical work rather than as any single customer’s results.
We do not sell these papers and we do not put them behind a form that harvests contact details for the sales team. They are free on request. If reading one leads you to conclude that you do not need our help, we would rather you reached that conclusion with good information than with bad.
The library is being rebuilt
We are not listing a catalogue of titles that you could request and we could not send. The research programme described on this page is real in intent and the subjects below are the ones our delivery leads are working on, but the published library is not yet in a state we are willing to advertise.

Hybrid Cloud Economics Under an Unreliable Grid

Measured diesel, inverter and solar-hybrid running costs from four Nigerian sites are set against in-country and offshore cloud pricing. The paper identifies the workload profiles where on-premises still wins and the crossover point beyond which it clearly does not.
Securing Agent Banking Networks at the Edge

Agent networks extend a bank’s perimeter into thousands of unmanaged locations. This paper proposes a device-identity, transaction-anomaly and settlement-reconciliation control set, tested across deployments in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa, with a fraud-pattern catalogue drawn from live monitoring.
On-Premises or In-Country Cloud? A TCO Study

What Every Brilliant Whitepaper Contains
A consistent structure, so that you can find what you need without reading the whole document.
- An executive summary of no more than two pages, written for a decision-maker rather than an engineer
- A clear statement of the question the paper set out to answer, and what it deliberately does not cover
- The full assumption set behind every cost figure, so that Naira numbers can be re-based to your own situation
- Primary evidence from our own delivery data, anonymised and labelled as illustrative of typical engagements
- Named Nigerian context — states, sectors, regulators and grid conditions rather than generic global examples
- A costed implementation outline with realistic timescales, including procurement and approval lead times
- A risk register covering the failure modes we have actually seen, not a theoretical list
- References to Nigerian legislation, standards and regulatory guidance with the version and date cited
- A named author, named internal reviewers and a version number on every page
- A short list of the questions the paper could not answer, and what evidence would be needed to answer them
How to Request a Copy
Papers are supplied free of charge to anyone with a professional interest. There is no download form and no marketing follow-up unless you ask for one.
Write to the research mailbox
Send an email to [email protected] naming the paper or papers you want. If you are not sure which title is relevant, describe the problem you are working on and we will suggest one. You may also use the enquiry form at /contact and select the research option.
Tell us who you are
Include your name, organisation and role. We ask for this so that we can send the right supporting material — a permanent secretary and a systems architect usually want different annexes from the same paper. We do not pass these details to any third party.
Receive the paper within two working days
You will get the PDF, a plain-text executive summary suitable for forwarding, and, where the paper includes a cost model, the accompanying spreadsheet so that you can substitute your own assumptions.
Ask for a walkthrough if it helps
For most titles the author will give a forty-five minute walkthrough by video call or in person at our Kano offices, at no charge. This is a briefing rather than a sales meeting; there is no obligation of any kind.

Paper counts, download totals and request turnaround figures are exactly the sort of numbers a reader has no way to check. We have removed ours rather than ask you to take them on trust.
Coming Later This Year
Two papers are in internal review at the time of writing. “Payment Reconciliation Architecture for Multi-Bank State Collections” extends our revenue work into the treasury side, and “Running a 24/7 Security Operations Centre in Nigeria: Staffing, Tooling and Cost” draws on the first full year of our own SOC. Both are expected before the end of 2026.
