WHAT WE DO

Our Services

Eight service lines, one delivery organisation. From custom software and systems integration to data centres, cybersecurity, managed IT and skills development, Brilliant Esystems builds and runs the technology Nigerian institutions depend on every day.

How we are organised

Brilliant Esystems Limited delivers enterprise technology in Nigeria. What began as a small software house in Kano now works from Kano, delivering for public bodies, banks, hospitals, telecommunications operators and distribution businesses. Our work is arranged into eight service lines, each led by a director who carries profit-and-loss responsibility and answers for delivery quality. The structure exists so that a client speaks to people who actually build and run the thing they are buying, rather than to an account layer that passes work downstream.

The service lines are deliberately complementary. A state revenue authority may start with a Digital Transformation Consulting assignment, commission Software Engineering to build the collection platform, ask Systems Integration to connect it to bank payment rails, host it in our Kano data centre, place it under a 24/7 Cybersecurity watch, hand day-to-day operations to Managed IT, and send its own officers to the ICT Training Academy. Each line can be bought on its own, and roughly a third of our clients do exactly that. But when they are bought together the contract has one delivery director, one governance forum and one throat to choke.

Everything we sell is delivered by employees on our payroll. We do not resell body-shop labour, and we do not sign a contract we cannot staff from the bench or the recruitment pipeline. Ninety-six of our engineers hold current vendor certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, Fortinet, Oracle and PECB, and every project runs under our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 information security management system.

Our standard engagement model

Every service line uses the same six-stage spine, so a client who has worked with one team already knows how the next one will behave. Stage gates are formal: nothing moves forward without a signed deliverable.

1

Discovery

Two to four weeks on site. We interview process owners, inspect the existing estate, read the enabling law or board mandate, and quantify the current cost of doing nothing. Output is a discovery report, a prioritised requirement register and a costed options paper.

2

Solution design

Architects produce the target architecture, data model, integration map, security controls and non-functional requirements. The design is reviewed by our internal architecture board and signed off by the client before a single line of code or a single rack unit is committed.

3

Build and integrate

Delivery runs in two-week sprints with a demonstration at the close of each one. Infrastructure work runs to a Gantt-tracked installation plan. Client representatives sit in sprint reviews so that surprises surface in fortnights rather than quarters.

4

Test and assure

Functional, integration, performance, failover and security testing, followed by structured user acceptance testing with named client testers. Defects are triaged by severity, and no P1 or P2 defect may remain open at the acceptance gate.

5

Deploy and migrate

Cutover is rehearsed at least twice in a staging environment, with a written rollback plan and a defined go or no-go decision point. Data migration is reconciled record-by-record and signed off by the client data owner before the legacy system is retired.

6

Operate and support

A warranty period follows every build, after which the work can transfer to a managed-service retainer with published response and resolution targets. Quarterly service reviews track SLA attainment, change volume and improvement actions.

Engagement and commercial models

We contract in five ways. The right model depends on how well defined the scope is and how much delivery risk the client wishes to transfer. Value bands below are typical of engagements we sign and are exclusive of VAT.

Model Best suited to How it is priced Typical value band
Fixed-price project Well-specified scope with a signed requirement register — portals, MIS builds, data centre refits Milestone payments against accepted deliverables, 10% retained until end of warranty ₦18m – ₦450m
Time and materials Discovery work, evolving scope, augmentation of a client delivery team Blended day rate by grade, invoiced monthly against approved timesheets ₦180,000 – ₦520,000 per consultant day
Managed service retainer Ongoing operation of infrastructure, applications, endpoints or a security operations centre Monthly fee by endpoint, node or service tier, with SLA credits for missed targets ₦2.4m – ₦96m per year
Outcome-based Revenue assurance, collection uplift and cost-reduction programmes where the benefit is measurable Reduced base fee plus an agreed share of verified, audited benefit over a baseline ₦12m base plus 3% – 8% of verified benefit
Training block-hours Corporate and government skills programmes drawn down across a financial year Pre-purchased instructor hours or seats, valid for twelve months, transferable between courses ₦1.8m – ₦75m per block
